NOW, they complain that the leaked information suggests the movie being too shocking, upsetting, etc.​You can't have it both ways. I mean, if what was said is true, that's as about as brutal as it gets. It certainly puts the 'Dark' in Dark Fate, even without crushed skulls, purple lasers and noir lighting effects.​I just don't understand what THEY want. It sets the tone to match the original an a very distant way. SPOILER. People should be cautious and reserve judgement, but you are right, the flow of highly strung negative comments are just. Not everybody has to be majorly excited but they are talking like they've seen the film and dismissing it all. As with most things, the age of the internet is one of transparency in the world of cinema and that transparency makes fans feel much more involved as part of the bigger picture, more so than it ever did when films were announced and just sort of happened and people didn't know much of anything other than the trailer and some articles before hand (I imagine, as I'm a 90's child). You hit the nail on the head for why I left that subbredit as well and my beef with all the videos on Youtube. For posterity, most people shut up (and I only do it to be sarcastic as I don't understand what the big deal and don't get the anti-SJW thing outside of some general sense of people just being dicks) when I point out how 'woke' T2 actually was based on their own judgmental standards. People really think they made the T-1000 a cop for no reason lol. They showed a cop being a cold blooded murdering robot. It was a direct critique of law enforcement and something still very relevant today. Given the fact it was filmed right before the Rodney King beating and the LA Riots it was oddly prophetic. Critics at the time also thought the nuclear message was 'on the nose', you can still find those online. No doubt if T2 was released today it would be called 'SJW propaganda'.

James Cameron was just ahead of the times like he always is. Women in leading roles in a movie I haven't seen. Must be 'woke'! No other reason, women can't be normal people they are just political points apparently. It's so lazy and I'd even say sexist and I don't use that word lightly. Discussing movies online used to be fun, people were mostly positive and had nice conversations. Now it almost always results in personal insults if you like or don't like something the other person does or doesn't. I've tried to have conversations on the other sub but people don't want to hear something rational they want to just scream.
